Recently, I went through my closet to get rid of clothes I don't wear. I get motivated to do that every once in a while. This time I noticed I had way too many pairs of jeans that I really don't wear. I like them all, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't notice if some of them weren't there anymore. So thats why, I refashioned one of those lost pairs of jeans into shorts. Also, the weather is getting warmer and into shorts weather! It was super easy to do with only 3-4 steps. I might even do this with other pairs of jeans.
First, I cut the jeans using another pair of shorts as my guide.
Second, I seam ripped a little up the sides using the less thick seam (one side of the leg has a thick seam and the other has a thinner one, use the thinner one). Then, I re-sewed what I just seam ripped, but closer to the edge. I did this to loosen the leg up. Prior to doing this step, the shorts were giving me "sausage legs."
Third, roll up the leg how you want it and then sew it into place.
And now I'm ready for summer with a brand new pair of shorts that were "right out of the closet" free! Now, I just need to work on my leg tan. It's a little haphazard with a sock tan and running capri tan. My calves are tan, but thats it.
Are you ready for summer?
Love, Dindin
